In today's video I am taking you to the 'Ghora Bazar' or 'Horse Market' of the famous Sonepur Cattle Fair, or simply the 'Sonepur Mela' of Sonepur in Bihar, India. Watch how the horses are traded and new owners take away their new horses from this market. Sonepur Mela till recently was the largest animal market in Asia and the world. But animal trade in recent years is dwindling and on my last visit, my experience was close to disappointment. very few animals are now traded at the fair, and the main attraction of this fair, the Aisan Elephants have stopped coming (as of 2017 fair) due to legal issues.
