Hi, in this video we can see how to make Kerala style Krishna Jayanthi special Unniyappam in Tamil UNNIYAPPAM | KRISHNA JAYANTHI SPECIAL | KERALA STYLE PERFECT SOFT UNNIYAPPAM INGREDIENTS raw rice - 1 cup bananas - 3 jaggery - ¾ cup chopped coconut ghee cardamom powder - ½ tsp pinch of salt water oil METHOD OF PREPARATION 1.Soak 1 cup raw rice for 6 hours. 2.Prepare jaggery syrup with ¾ cup jaggery and ¼ cup water. 3.Powder the rice without any water and then add 3 bananas. 4.Filter the jaggery syrup and add it to the mixie jar and grind well.(½ cup jaggery syrup).Do not add jaggery syrup when it's too hot. 5.Then add again ¼ cup water and grind smoothly.Do not grind too fine. 6.Transfer it to a bowl.Add ½ tsp cardamom powder and a pinch of salt. 7.Mix well and let it rest for about 6-7 hours. 8.In a small pan, heat some ghee and roast a few chopped coconut until it becomes golden colour. 9.After 7 hours add the roasted coconut and mix well. 10.Heat some oil in unniyappam chatti and once the oil is hot,pour 1 tbsp of batter and fry them until it becomes golden. 11.Flip it and cook the other side.
