Hi,in this video we can see how to make Kerala special Kappa (Tapioca) and ulli chammanthi in Tamil. METHOD OF PREPARATION TAPIOCA | KAPPA | MARAVALLI KILANGU 1.Peel and cut tapioca in medium or long pieces.Wash it properly. 2.Cook tapioca with water.We will filter the excess water after the tapioca is cooked so there is no need to take the correct measurement of water. 3.Cook with needed salt for 15-20 minutes with the lid closed.In between check whether the tapioca pieces are getting cooked. 4.Once cooked, drain all the water.Kerala style tapioca are served like this with shallot chutney. 5.If you like you can also add little coconut to it but tapioca with coconut is usually a combination with fish curry. 6.In a pan add a little coconut oil,splutter some mustard,add 2-3 dried red chilli and curry leaves. 7.Add ¾ tsp pepper and ¼ cup grated coconut mix for a few seconds. 8.Now add the cooked tapioca and mix well. ULLI CHAMANTHI | SHALLOT CHUTNEY 1.Grind shallot using mortar & pestle and add 1 green chili to it and grind. 2.Then add a small piece of tamarind and grind again. 3.Add 3-4 tsp of powdered dried red chili to it and need salt and mix well.Add dried red chili powdered according to your spice level. 4.Drizzle some coconut oil and mix well.
