Hi, in this video we can see how to make chana masala in Tamil.Chana masala is a good combination for bhatura/poori/naan. CHANA MASALA CURRY METHOD OF PREPARATION: 1.Soak 1½ cup whit chickpeas for 6 hours. Cook the chickpeas in a pressure cooker for 20 minutes with needed water and salt. 2.In a pan add little oil. Add 2 cloves,3cardamom,small pieces of cinnamon and 1 bay leaf and saute. 3.Add 1 onion and 3 green chillies. Add little salt so that the onion cooks faster. 4.Saute for a few minutes and add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste. 5.When onion becomes golden brown color add small tomato and saute. 6.After the tomato is cooked add ¼ tbsp turmeric powder,1½ tbsp coriander powder, ½ tbsp chili powder and ¼ tbsp garam masala. 7.Now add the cooked chickpeas to the masala and mix well. 8.Keep aside little cooked chickpeas and grind it to smooth paste in a blender and add it to the masala so that you get a thick gravy. 9.Add 1 cup water and let it boil in medium flame for 5-8 minutes. 10.Add few coriander leaves once the gravy is ready.
