Hi,in this video we can see how to make falafel with hummus in Tamil.It is a very easy healthy snack recipe.
FALAFEL WITH HUMMUS | EASY HEALTHY SNACK RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
FOR FALAFEL
Chickpeas - 1cup
Onion - ¼ cup
Garlic cloves - 2
Green chillies - 2
Chili powder - ½ tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Pepper - ½ tsp
Cumin - ½ tsp
Handful of coriander leaves
Salt
Oil
FOR HUMMUS
Chickpeas - ½ cup
Chili powder - ½ tsp
Cumin - ½ tsp
Garlic cloves - 2
Oil - 2 tbsp
Lemon juice
White sesame - 2 tbsp
Salt
Water
METHOD OF PREPARATION
FALAFEL
1.Soak 1 cup chickpeas overnight.Transfer it to a mixie jar without water.Add ¼ cup onion,2 garlic cloves,2 green chilies,½ tsp chili powder,1 tsp coriander powder,½ tsp cumin,½ tsp pepper,handful of coriander leaves and required salt.
2.Grind it to a nice smooth paste without adding water.Transfer it to a bowl.
3.Make small balls and press gently to make a round shape.Heat some oil in a kadai and fry them until it becomes golden colour.
HUMMUS
1.Soak ½ cup chickpeas overnight.Cook them in a pressure cooker with 1 cup water and require salt until 5 whistles.
2.Roast 2 tbsp white sesame and grind it finely once it cools down.
3.Transfer the cooked chickpeas to a mixy jar along with the powdered sesame,½ tsp chili powder,½ tsp cumin,required salt,2 tbsp flavourless oil,1 lemon juice and 2 garlic cloves.
4.Grind it to a nice smooth paste by adding some cooked chickpeas water.
5.Serve it by topping with some oil and chili powder.
