Hi, in this video we can see how to make ulli theeyal in Tamil.This recipe was prepared by Sivaangi in Cooku with Comali show telecasted on Vijay Television. ULLI THEEYA | KERALA STYLE THEEYAL | COOK WITH COMALI RECIPE INGREDIENTS shallots - 1 cup grated coconut - ¾ cup pinch of fenugreek raw rice - ¼ tsp pepper corn - ¼ tsp coriander powder - 1 tsp coriander powder- 1 tsp turmeric powder - ¼ tsp dried red chilies - 2 green chilies - 2 tamarind mustard curry leaves oil water salt METHOD OF PREPARATION 1.In a pan take ¾ cup grated coconut,pinch of fenugreek,¼ tsp raw rice,¼ tsp pepper corn and a few curry leaves.Roast until the coconut becomes golden colour. 2.Add 1 tsp coriander powder and 1 tsp chili powder.Saute until the raw smell of spices goes. 3.When it cools down trasnfer it to a grinder,add ¼ tsp turmeric powder and grind to a nice smooth paste by adding some water. 4.In a pan heat some coconut oil,splutter a few mustard,add 2 dried red chilies and a few curry leaves. 5.Add 1 cup shallots and 2 green chilies.Saute for few minutes. 6.Add required salt and some tamarind water.Cook with the lid closed. 7.Once the shallots are cooked add the coconut mixture with required water and let it boil for few more minutes.
