About Bongani_Drama Bongani_Drama also known as Mzwanele, Jackson Nomcweya, showed love for the Entertainment industry at a very tender age, when he would imitate young and aspiring TV presenters on his mirror and also when he was given an opportunity, by his primary school English teacher to emcee a school event and be part of a school play where he played the leading role. Originally from Potchefstroom, Bongani_Drama grew up in a middle class family in Meadowlands, SOWETO. With his father being the only bread winner for a family of five, it's no question that Bongani_Drama knows all too well what humble beginnings are. After completing his matric in 2009 at the Johannesburg Polytech Institute high school, he went on to futher his studies at the Tshwane University of Technology, where he graduated CUM LAUDE for his B-Tech Degree in the Department of performance arts, the Vocal Art (Opera) program. During his time at TUT he obtained a minor role in 2011 in an Opera by Mozart, 'Die Zauberflöte', taking on the role of the first prince. In 2013 he obtained a major role in a French Opera, 'Faust' by Gonoud, where he took on the leading role of Faust. Furthermore, he was part of an Opera company, Gauteng Opera as a chorus member from 2011-2013. As much as Opera is still his passion he never gave up on his dream of being an all rounder entertainer. It was with no surprise when the event organisers at TUT gave him an opportunity to Emcee some of the University's main events. He was spotted at an emcee gig by the community TV station, Tshwane TV were he was forwarded with an opportunity to host a fashion program which he did zealously for 7 months. Coming from a strong Anglican Christian family, he knows and believes that God will bless him with the opportunity to present his own show in one of the major TV stations in South Africa. At the end of 2013 he was honoured with the TUT prestigious scholarship to further his studies in Performing Arts where he is currently doing his Master’s Degree and hopes to pursue his Doctoral Degree. Bongani_Drama is currently working as a Social Media Manager at Gauteng Opera, as a Radio Host at Lucky Radio a Talk Show Host on Children TV South Africa. “Play hard & Work smart” is his motto in life and keeps him driven.
