Most of the people take enlightenment as a goal to be attained in future, and many even think that enlightenment is not within their reach in this lifetime, so they will have it in some other lifetime!!! This is nothing but the tricks that the deceptive mind plays on you, mind needs time to survive, so it even makes you project Enlightenment into future and so some of you start thinking, I can get it in 10, 20, 30, years time, because somebody else had it in that much time and some even project it into some future lifetime!!! The Truth is this, Enlightenment is not some event which will happen in some future time, it is merely a recognition of who you really are, Enlightenment is just a recognition of your Divine nature, it is the recognition of Yourself as the Peaceful Consciousness beyond the body-mind complex, now tell how much time do you really need to recognize that you're the knower and the body-mind complex is the known, how much time do you really need to realize this simple fact that you're the eternal Subject while the body-mind complex is the object!!!
