The next edition of the historic and fierce Kolkata derby between Mohun Bagan SG and East Bengal in the Indian Super League (ISL) will take place on December 11 at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati. Mohun Bagan comes into the match in top form, having won four out of its last five games, including a comfortable 3-0 win over Hyderabad FC in its last outing. It currently sits at the top of the ISL table with 32 points, five clear of second placed Bengaluru FC. East Bengal comes into the match with a mixed run of form, having lost its last match to Mumbai City FC 3-2 after a late goal from Nikos Karelis. While its form has picked up since Oscar Bruzon has taken the helm, it has won just two of its last five games, and currently sits in 11th, eight points off the top six.
