NYC’s groundbreaking carbon emission laws are creating a brand new technology sector for building automation employment. Stacks+Joules has a long-term strategy to train and place vulnerable and underrepresented populations in these careers. Stacks+Joules students from the UA Maker Academy held a public presentation where they propose an actionable high-tech answer to NY State’s call to Climate Action: an Advanced Automated Lighting Control and LED lighting retrofit for their high school (Murry Bergtraum HS 411 Pearl St NYC).
