Part 2: (Aus8 vs CTS XHP) After comparing the superficial features of the Cold Steel; Code 4 & Recon 1, I really wanted to test the blade steel and see if this new upgrade was worth the extra money. The Code 4 in CTS XHP maintained it's sharpness through the experiment, and performed better throughout. The Recon 1 seemed to have problems getting through the cardboard from the beginning, and I noticed an advantage for Code 4 all the way. After 175 cuts, the edge on the Recon in Aus8 was noticably worn, and could not cleanly cut printer paper. The Code 4 CTS XHP barely had any detectable wear.
