How to Set Up Man Utd on Football Manager 2021 | Welcome back guys! With the release of football manager 2021, I’ll be giving you guys some tips for tactics and transfers in the game, using Man Utd to show you guys the best way to set up this year. First let’s dive into the transfer activity. Obviously right wing is always on the agenda in recent times for Man United in any recent FM game. I thought of going for a more budget option, but I just had to Bring in Jadon Sancho. Moving into the defensive midfield role, I wanted to sign a deep-lying playmaker. Nemanja Matic is getting on and Scott McTominay is not good enough on the ball to play that role. So I headed to Napoli to sign Spanish midfielder Fabian Ruiz for the DLP role. Before we move onto our next transfer targets. Let’s look at where we can increase our transfer & wage budget on Manchester United’s FM21 save. You should be looking at Matic, Lingard, Rojo, Mata, Romero and Grant to offload. You will be looking at £40M in transfer fees and over £540K in wage budget saved - this could allow you dive into the market for the big name signings you’d like. We needed reinforcements at centre back, but we were mainly just targeting an elite CB to come straight into the side. Milan Skriniar, Jose Maria Gimenez, Dayot Upamecano were the names we started looking at. Upamecano would have been ideal but with his contract situation all complicated as it was up for renewal at the end of the season - we decided to look at other targets. We managed to land Milan Skriniar in January after getting some funds together, as he was better value for us over Gimenez. Tactically I like to set up in a 4-3-3 to get Bruno Fernandes & Paul Pogba involved together. The 4-3-3 also offered us more flexibility with what we can do with the team.
