Statman Dave's video: How England Should Setup at Euro 2020

@How England Should Setup at Euro 2020
Welcome back guys! Today we’ll be taking a look at how Gareth Southgate could set his England side up in the Euros this summer. The current England side are stacked with quality all over the pitch, and it won’t be easy selecting a starting 11 as well as the players to go to the Euros as part of the squad. So let’s take a look at what decisions Gareth Southgate should make. We’re closing in on 250k subscribers! ► SUBSCRIBE to STATMAN DAVE: http://bit.ly/StatmanDaveYoutube First up we need a formation. In recent years Gareth Southgate has tinkered with a number of systems. At the 2018 World Cup he set England up in a 3-1-4-2 that made use of two free 8s in central midfield, with Kyle Walker deployed as a right centre back. In 2019, Southgate moved towards a 4-3-3, occasionally deploying a 4-2-3-1 for a more cautious approach and reverting to the flat 3 to get more attackers involved. What’s key to England’s success is getting the best out of their attacking talent. England have a plethora of attacking talent and probably for the first time, they’ve got multiple attackers who’re up there with the best in their position. Only Lionel Messi has more Shot Creating Actions this season than Jack Grealish. Whilst Jadon Sancho, Raheem Sterling and Marcus Rashford have been directly involved in well over 100 goals since the start of last season. Realistically Rashford and Sterling are competing for the same left wing spot and Sancho and Saka are competing for the right. I think Rashford’s partnership with Luke Shaw at Manchester United means he should get the nod. ► JOIN PATREON: https://bit.ly/StatmanPatreon Sterling also performs well on the right hand side, being directly involved in more than 90 goals in 136 games from that position. Alternatively, Southgate could introduce Jadon Sancho on either flank to add even more creativity to the lineup and potentially look to use Kane as more of a goal threat than a creator.
