Statman Dave's video: How Ziyech Will Become The Premier League s Assist Machine

@How Ziyech Will Become The Premier League's Assist Machine...
Today we’re going to be looking at How Hakim Ziyech Will Become Lampard’s Eden Hazard at Chelsea following the Belgian transfer to Real Madrid at the start of the 2019/20 season. ▶️ CHECK US OUT ON TWITCH: http://bit.ly/SMDTwitch After an impressive transfer spree in 2020, Chelsea have assembled one of the best attacking lineups in Europe with new signings, Timo Werner and Kai Havertz joining the likes of Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount and Christian Pulisic. One signing who’s yet to get a run of games who will be key to unlocking Frank Lampard’s Chelsea. Hakim Ziyech. The former Ajax man is one of the best creative talents in world football and should prove a steal at 40 million. Not only because he’s arguably the only forward in Chelsea’s squad who can consistently play killer passes in the final third but because he’ll help knit the side together. I see a lot of similarities to when Manchester United signed Bruno Fernandes. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had a number of talented attackers like Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford but his side struggled to get the ball to them. But Fernandes’ transfer in January 2020 completed the side, adding a creator to dictate their attack as well as their goalscoring forwards. ► SUBSCRIBE to STATMAN DAVE: http://bit.ly/StatmanDaveYoutube ► JOIN PATREON: https://bit.ly/StatmanPatreon And this is similar to Chelsea and Ziyech. The blues have an embarrassment of riches up front but they’re without a true creator. Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham are all goalscorers whilst Christian Pulisic is a direct dribbler that causes havoc with mazy runs not clever passes. And this is where Ziyech comes in. The Morrocan is more than happy to drop deep to get on the ball and what’s more is he’s got the vision, technical ability & confidence to make use of it when he does. He’s shown time and time again on the big stage that he’s an elite creator. He’s got a number of assists in the Champions League against European heavyweights Real Madrid and Juventus and he didn’t do too badly when Ajax met Chelsea in last season’s group stages. Picking up two assists and causing Kepa to score an own goal. But he’s not all about creativity. Not only does he work exceptionally hard when out of possession, which will help Chelsea defensively, but he’s more than happy to take on shooting opportunities. Throughout his time at Ajax, Ziyech has averaged over 5 shots per 90 which is better than every Premier League striker averaged last season. He’s already shown in his few starts for Chelsea against Burnley in the Premier League and in the Champions League against Krasnador what he can bring to Stamford Bridge. Combine his ridiculous attacking output with how irreplaceable he is in the Chelsea squad and you’ve got a star attacker that the Blue have missed since they sold Hazard to Real Madrid. But what do you think? Will Ziyech prove to be Hazard’s replacement at Chelsea? Or will it be someone else? Let me know in the comments below!
