Lunedì 8 Febbraio l’Intercity Giorno 605 Milano Centrale-Taranto (effettuato con E414 in doppia trazione simmetrica) si è guastato nella stazione di Pescara Centrale. Dopo qualche ora il treno è stato soppresso e i passeggeri diretti verso la Puglia hanno potuto proseguire il loro viaggio con gli altri InterCity e Frecciargento. Il giorno seguente l’Intercity 612 Taranto-Milano Centrale è stato effettuato con materiale reversibile con E401 e Pilota Z1A, inviato da Roma.
