Stephen Slater's video: My Year Trekking Ridgeway 2 W-E Seasons in England

In April 2021, restrictions from our second Covid-19 lockdown were eased enough that we were allowed to leave our local areas. The Ridgeway is the closest national trail to home. My plan was to split 6 days of walking into 12 half days and walk out and back from my car to avoid overnight stays and public transport. I would do one segment a month to show the trail through the seasons. I recorded a full year’s worth of UK wildflowers. I finally found some iron age hill forts that aren’t flat fields. On the shorter winter days, I sometimes arrived in time to see the sunrise, or was still finishing at sunset. Since I walked each leg in both directions, that compiles into two videos of the entire walk, one in each direction. So if you make it to the end of one you can turn around and come back the other way to see what I noticed that was different and sometimes different diversions to see things that I only did once.
