It's impossible to ignore, especially for me because racism has been a big part of my life and many people that I know. I have hope that this recent movement will spark a change and make people realize what happens to black people in many countries- Canada included. When things like this happen, you feel like throwing your hands up in the air- but I need to keep going. I need to stay true to what I promised myself when I started on social media. Being the change that I want to be is my only option. When you don't get equal opportunity, you have to create it. My sincere hope is that people will reflect on the world as it is today and think about how we can collectively make it better.
