Steve Lawson's video: Steve Lawson - Solo Bass Looping Improv

@Steve Lawson - Solo Bass + Looping Improv.
for more see http://music.stevelawson.net This was recorded just as a video test, but it turned out quite nice, so here it is (was just experimenting with recording multitrack audio and video on my laptop at the same time, to see if it would glitch… apparently it doesn't. Hurrah! It starts out with an ambient loop using my toneprint in the TC Electronics HOF Mini, then unfolds as an improv in Am. I'm just exploring some melodic ideas over a simple chord progression and then it gets a bit weirder towards the end as the loop fades. Enoy! Gear list: Bass: Modulus custom 6 string fretted, w/ Dunlop Superbright Strings (hot damn, I love those strings!) Pedals used (in order): MXR bass preamp (on the floor out of shot), Dunlop Volume Pedal, Markbass MiniDist, Darkglass VMT, MXR Bass Fuzz, MXR Bass Chorus Deluxe, MXR Bass Overdrive, TC Electronic HOF mini, MXR Bass Envelope Filter. In the rack: Looperlative LP1, Lexicon MPX-G2, Kaoss Pad KP3.
