Stew Tube's video: Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty FINALE The Solid Snake Run

@Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty [FINALE] [The Solid Snake Run]
As a tribute to all of the wonderful memories I made growing up with this series I will be completing the what I will be referring to as a ''Solid Snake Run'' I have chosen to approach this project like this for two reasons: The games featuring Solid Snake were the games I have the strongest personal connection to and grew up with. I never had a PSP to experience Portable ops or peace walker and I also didn't have the most current console when ground zeroes was released but I did play the Phantom Pain. The second reason is probably harder to explain and may make some fans of the series upset. I personally feel like the majority of games featuring big boss as a playable character are not all that important to the main story of the series. The Big Boss that Kojima spent two decades portraying to us was not the Big Boss that we got in the games focusing on him. After alot of thought I personally have come to the conclusion that the ultimate way to experience this series in one sitting would be the following: Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2 Solid snake, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 3, and then Metal Gear Solid 4. Games released on PSP, and games released after Metal Gear Solid 4 in my eyes feel more like side story's. They are great games but none of them contribute to the overall plot of the game in my opinion aside from a few miniscule pieces of MGSV TPP. Snake eater is great though and it will be covered in this project before finishing with MGS4. So for those of you that are allied to Big Boss I am sorry to disappoint you. but I hope you consider watching! I will be releasing a video a few months after wrapping up this run. My Journey with Metal Gear started in 1998 when I played through the submarine dock level on a demo disc over and over again. A few years later while moving across the country we met up part way through the trip with my uncle. I decided to finish the trip riding with him. It was the middle of the night and storming out and we talked about Metal Gear the rest of the way to our new home that night. A few days later we stayed up all night long and I got to watch him beat Metal Gear Solid in one sitting, the sun was rising during the final scenes as daylight broke on Shadow Moses. I continued to follow the series as I grew older and got a PlayStation 2. Around 2002 another uncle of mine as well of his son both died of a Fentanyl Overdose. Me and my family took a few weeks and went back up north for both of their funeral. Ironically they were both living in my childhood home. We ended up staying there in our old house and I found my now passed cousins copy of Metal Gear Solid 2. I played as much as I could when we were busy with family and I ended up taking it with me when we went back down south. Later, in highschool I would obtain Metal Gear Solid 3 and play through it as well. This is ware the series eluded me for several years. I did not pick the series back up until Metal Gear Solid V TPP. As a result I was never able to experience the penultimate ending to the series I have spent my life growing up with, and that my friends is Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of The Patriots and I am humbled to share my first experience with this game with all of you and finally close this chapter of gaming history. Games that will be covered in this series: Metal Gear NES Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake MSX2 Metal Gear Solid PSOne Metal Gear Solid 2 PlayStation 2 Metal Gear Solid 3 PlayStation 2 Metal Gear Solid 4 PlayStation 3 All games will be the versions included in Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection besides Metal Gear Solid which will be the PSOne Version on disc. 1064
