Stompy23's video: Austrian Novelty Ragtime 1931 - 3 Br der Nehring Xylophones : PIANO PASTIMES

@Austrian Novelty Ragtime 1931 - 3 Brüder Nehring (Xylophones): PIANO PASTIMES
3 Brüder Nehring mit Orchester, Dirigent: Dol Dauber: PIANO PASTIMES His Master's Voice AM 3403 Mx.-No.: OL 83-I Vienna or Prague, mid-1931 The "3 Brüder Nehring" (three Nehring bros.) were a show act, featuring three quite young boys playing virtuoso xylophone. According to newspapers of the era, they were active mostly in Austria, but also toured various European countries. The novelty ragtime number "Piano Pastimes" by danish composer Erik Deneke is a rather repetitive piece, but it reveals the Nehrings' versatility on xylophone. The number was apparently one of their most popular earwigs. A nice arrangement anyway, with neat accompaniment by the Dol Dauber orchestra.
