National Innovation Center is supporting following research and innovation works. [ Update August 16, 2018 ] 1. Developing alternative animal protein resources for poultry by using black soldier fly larvae by students of Agriculture and Forestry University Chitwan 2. Working on the concept of designing and developing air condition suit by students of Institute of Engineering Purbanchal College of Dharan 3. Improving the efficiency of existing solar thermal collector (STC) technology using selective coating of Nano-particles for water heating applications by a Kathmandu University team 4. Developed already and now testing compact system of water filter and treatment for the rural areas by four engineers 5. Testing battery maintenance system developed for electric three wheelers in Hetaunda by e-Riksa Association 6. Developed and launched an e-commerce platform Everest Kart (https://everestkart.com/) by two persons 7. Developing functional food, bio-pesticide, organic hair coloring dye by the students of Tribhuwan University Kirtipur 8. Developing Electronic Medical Recording system for the rural health clinics and for telemedicine program 9. Developing apps for the rural schools to provide access to educational materials and web-based application to manage school system 10. Developing and testing different types of drones to deliver medicine in remote areas 11. Designing a special ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle) for multiple uses that can be driven in the rural roads of the mountains of Nepal 12. One innovator in Janakpur is building and testing a small rice harvester using engine of water pump 13. Medical drones (multi copter, fixed wing and hybrid) are being built to deliver packages of medicine in remote areas of Nepal 14. Developing a electronic system to chase monkey and wild animals to help farmers protect their crops National Innovation Center is building a 5,200 square foot big research lab in the premise of Tribhuvan University Kirtipur. It will be ready by the end of August.
