Story Fizz's video: Top 10 Most Dangerous Islands in the World

@Top 10 Most Dangerous Islands in the World
There are some islands in this world that are so dangerous that you can go there but will probably not return alive. Let’s take a look. Ramree has one of the highest populations of saltwater crocodiles. One of the worst human and animal disasters happened during the second world war when Japanese soldiers were forced to beat a retreat through the marshes of Ramree by British troops. With crocodiles lying in wait for the injured soldiers, out of the 1000 soldiers who attempted crossing the crocodile-infested waters, only 480 survived. The Sentinel Island is a part of the Andaman archipelago in India. This island is home to the Sentinelese which is a group of indigenous people who are completely cut off from the rest of the world. The Sentinelese are extremely protective of their lifestyle and culture and actually kill anyone who tries to approach their island. Poveglia was once the place where sufferers of the black plague were taken and left to die. The thousands of bodies that were dumped on this island has not only polluted the soil but also the waters. in fact, there are reports of bodies that still do wash up from the sea on occasion. Back in 1922, a mental asylum was opened on the island where a doctor reportedly tortured many patients with his experiments. While this asylum has long since been torn down, visitors still report hearing creepy sounds. Socotra is known to be the haunt of Somalian pirates who are among some of the most dangerous people in the world. They often hijack big ships in the nearby waters in exchange for huge ransoms. If you run in to one of these pirates here, it’s a very low possibility that you will make it out alive. Known for their rough and ragged shores and treacherous waters, the Farallon Islands have for centuries been the cause of many shipwrecks and deaths of sailors. Their hostile environment has left these islands uninhabited and off-limits to humans. The closest people can get here is on a few, regulated boats that take people to spot whales. Also, there are several species of sharks in these waters including the great white shark which is known to be a deadly man-eater. Enewetak Atoll Marshall Island is a large coral atoll that has seen much nuclear testing done in the 1940s and 1950s. This has left much radioactive waste on the island that has polluted the soil and even impacted marine life health. In fact, if you fish and eat a crab or any other seafood, you are very likely to fall seriously ill. Troops who went to the islands in the 70s to clean them up of their waste came back and soon fell ill with tumours and terminal cancer. A part of France, Reunion Island is situated just off the coast of Madagascar. There lurks a danger in the waters around the island in the form of bull sharks. These sharks make the Indian Ocean waters around reunion the most deadly waters in the entire world. So deadly that swimming and surfing are completely banned. Izu Islands are home to active volcanoes that can erupt at any given time. In fact the islands were evacuated completely in back in 2000. Gruinard was formerly a place for testing for biological weapons of war back during World War II. The biological testing has contaminated the islands to such an extent that even landing is not allowed. Anthrax spores still contaminate the soil till date. Also known as the snake island Ilha da Queimada Grande has a mind boggling 5 venomous snakes per square metre. That is truly dangerous by any standards and the stuff that nightmares are made of. Among the entire venomous snake species that do live here, the most dangerous is undoubtedly the golden lance head viper. This snake is so deadly that even a single bite will surely kill you even if you get the anti venom immediately. Track: 32Stitches - Olympus [NCS Release] Music provided by NoCopyrightSounds.
