The Boys is the latest Amazon Prime original that has us all hook, line, and sinker. Today, we take a look at the origins and story of each of these seven as we reveal them exclusively for you. First is the leader of the seven. The Homelander is essentially the most powerful superhero ever created. Vought promote Homelander as an alien who fell into the earth by accident. Homelander is basically just like Superman. He can fly, he has X-ray vision, and laser vision. Apart from all this, he has super senses of hearing and smell and is a natural born leader. Yet, his unstoppable powers make him arrogant and careless of human life. Queen Maeve’s character has often seen fans draw comparisons between her and Wonder Woman. She is helpful and kind. For instance, she comes to the rescue of another character Starlight several times during the show. Queen Maeve was originally Homelander’s lady love however, she calls off the relationship as he continuously grows egoistic and destructive. Next on this list is A-Train. With his superhuman speed, A-Train is the fastest man alive but he is addicted to compound V. One of the most reckless characters on the show, this speedster is known for collateral damage and causes the death of Hughie’s girlfriend while he on a chase and this leads Hughie to join the CIA team The Boys and eventually work towards bringing about the downfall of the Seven. Translucent iss a character that was crafted exclusively for the TV version of The Boys. His diamond-like skin is close to indestructible and he is almost invisible too. This means that he can get around a lot easier than most. Invisibility is truly a coveted power and one would assume that Translucent would use his powers for good. However, he is a pervert who uses his abilities to spy on women. Almost as if in answer to Aquaman, The Deep is the underwater superhero who can talk to fishes. However, after having sexually harassed Starlight, The Deep earned a bad name for himself. He is sort of like the embarrassment of the boys and is detested for his arrogance. Real name Annie January, Starlight’s ability is her power to project light that can blind those around her. Initially devout and idealistic, Starlight soon realizes the truth behind the Seven and this begins to disintegrate her faith in them. Like a slick ninja, Black Noir moves faster than the speed of sound and is truly the fear of his enemies. Now, guys, a major spoiler coming up! While Black Noir stayed a mystery for long in the series, he was suddenly revealed to be an insane clone of the Homelander. Black Noir was designed to keep the Homelander in control.
