Through the years there have been extraordinary attempts by people from across the world to make and break records during their lifetime. Here is a list of 20 world records that no one would want to ever beat. In 2017, professional stunt artist Josef Stodtling made the Guinness World Records for his stunt of the longest distance to be dragged by a horse while on fire. In 1964, Randy Gardner spent 11 days and 25 minutes without sleep. In February 2009, Natasha Veruschka swallowed a sword measuring 58 centimetres thus creating a world record for the longest sword ever swallowed. Jon Brower Minnoch was the world’s heaviest man ever weighing in at 635 kilograms in 1978. His female counterpart was Rosalie Bradford whose weight peaked at 544 kilograms and made her fall into depression. In February 2004, a police constable from Mumbai India had the largest kidney stone removed that measured around 13 centimetres. Tony Collins of Wiltshire UK, spent the longest time on a gurney which was an alarming 77 hours and 30 minutes back in 2001. Roy C Sullivan was struck by lightning over 7 times – the most for any human being – and survived. In May 1999. British national John Evans created a world record by balancing a 160-kilogram car on his head. Robert Craig Kneivel suffered the greatest number of bone fractures in his life as a motorcycle stuntman. His number of fractures was 433. In 2012, Silvio Sabba entered the Guinness World Records for the greatest number of clothespins stuck to a human face. His record stands at 51 clothespins. In 2006, Missouri resident Matt Suter was picked up by tornado winds hurled a distance of 1307 feet which is the longest a human has ever survived being thrown by a tornado. In September 2004 Ilker Yilmaz entered the Guinness book of world records for squirting milk a distance of 279.5 centimetres from his eye. In 2005 Indian grocer Radha Kant Bajpai entered the Guinness World Records for growing the world’s longest ear hair that measured 13.2 centimetres. In July 2017 Reverend Kevin Fast of Ontario Canada achieved the heaviest vehicle pull across a 100 feet course. In 2018, Ayanna Williams entered the Guinness World Records for growing the longest fingernails which measured 5.76 metres. Neil Harbisson from London entered the Guinness World Records for being the first person in the world to have an antenna implanted into his skull. Jim Arrington created a world record for being the oldest bodybuilder in the world at an admirable 85 years and 6 days. Germany’s Andre Ortolf holds the record for the most amount of marmite eaten in a single minute. Finally, in the 1700s, a Russian woman known only as Mrs. Vassilyeva gave birth to 69 children in her lifetime. She lived in the 1700s which meant she had no access to painkillers or medical aid. Her record remains unbeaten till date and we are sure no woman wants to even think about getting close to it.
