Area 51 has spawned more conspiracy theories than probably any other place on the planet. So, how did it all begin. Area 51 is a US Military Air Force Installation at Nevada. The entire area is not accessible in any form to the public. All that is known is that the area is used as a base for flight testing.The use of area 51 dates as far back as World War II. Since then it has even been used as a gunnery range. The site has also been rumoured to have been the location for covert Cold War operations planning and execution during tensions between the former USSR and the USA. All of this definitely means that Area 51 is a pretty dangerous place to be. Not to mention, it all adds to the intrigue. Area 51 has had its fare share of leaks; some of which may have been real and some may have just been built on the hype. It’s all really up to you to judge what you want to believe. In 1989, a man known as Bob Lazar revealed to news reporters that the US government worked on alien technology inside area 51. Lazar even went as far as claiming that he saw photographs of alien autopsy. These revelations no doubt took the nation by storm and fuelled the already on-going speculation in the country . Since then, many people have claimed seeing UFOs crash over Area 51. The US military has always denied all reports saying these were simply air force tests. One movie that really kicked up a storm was the 2015 Found footage science fiction film Area 51. This horror flick had a limited release and focused on the lead character Reid who suddenly becomes obsessed with aliens and Area 51 to the surprise and concern of his friends and family. The film strongly drew the conclusion that Area 51 had alien experiments and activity hidden from the outside world. Though this film did not fare too well among critics, fans of the Area 51 conspiracies felt like this film gave a voice to their fears. According to information available at the moment, over one million participants of this movement plan to storm the super secretive area 51 between 3 am and 6am on the 20th of September. They hope to finally reveal to the world what lurks in the shadows over there, hidden from public eyes. Of course the US air force spokeswoman Laura McAndrews said that the armed forces strongly discourage any activity of this sort as Area 51 is a training range for the armed forces and trespassers could sustain injuries or worse.
