Storyful's video: Paddleboarder Gets Close-Up View of Hunting Orcas

A paddleboarder was afforded the opportunity to watch orcas hunting up close, drone footage captured off the coast of Baja California shows. The footage, filmed by Donald Allen Briggs and posted to YouTube on September 9, shows what he described as two adult females and their young hunting rays in the bay. Speaking to Storyful, Briggs said it was a “remarkable experience where mother orcas welcomed a human to observe them teaching their young how to hunt for bat rays in shallow water.” The footage shows the curious killer whales swimming close to the paddleboard.
