@Jean Paul Tona - An innocent balafon version of "Je t'aime... moi non plus", Metro music performance
You certainly know this song Je t'aime… moi non plus Famous song is a French duet written by Serge Gainsbourg. It was written for and sung with Brigitte Bardot in 1967, but that version was not released until 1986. In 1969, Gainsbourg recorded a version with his lover, Jane Birkin. It reached number one in the UK, and number two in Ireland, but was banned in several countries owing to its sexual content. The song has been covered by many different artists. In original versions, especially the one sang by Brigitte Bardo, there are sighs which suggested that the song was even recorded during the sexual act. This version is much more innocent and to my great joy heard in the Nation station of Paris metro where everybody laughed and enjoyed during the performance, same as the musician, Jean Paul Tona, did Enjoy the instrument used - The Balophon (Balophong, Balaphone, Balafon) is a kind of wooden xylophone or percussion idiophone which plays melodic tunes and usually has between 16 to 27 keys . It has been played in the African regions since the 1300s and originated in Mali according to the Manding history narrated by the griots.
