StrngAttrctrsDesign's video: Tokyo Chat

@Tokyo Chat
W+K Tokyo Lab commissioned Strange Attractors Design (Ryan Pescatore Frisk & Catelijne van Middelkoop) to create a video and sound for an episode of Tokyo.Now, a 5 min. sub-program within NHK's 'POP JAM DX', a TV show devoted to Japanese pop culture. Solely based on AIM interviews that W+K conducted with foreign creatives discussing the influence that Japan/Tokyo has had on their work, along with research into exported Japanese traditions and contemporary visual culture. The result, Tokyo Chat, is a 01:24 minute long and completely typographic motion piece, representing Japan 'Now', exported to and visualized in foreign minds. In addition, the interstitials, sound and program ID used throughout the rest of this episode of Tokyo.Now. were also produced by Strange Attractors Design. It was awarded by the Type Directors Club, included in the TDC annual Exhibition and Typography 28, and nominated for the European Design Awards. It has appeared in numerous books and publications, and shown at a various film festivals. All Audio/Video written, directed and produced by Strange Attractors Design,
