Watch this video now. https://www.youtube.com/c/stylecrazeyoga The Mill Churning Pose or Chakki Chalanasana copies the movements of a hand-moved wheat grinder. # Practice of Chakki Chalanasana:- Sit on the blanket keeping your legs one foot apart or as wide as possible. Interlock the fingers of both your hands keep your arms straight out in front of your chest. Your shoulders should be relaxed and your belly gently tucked in. Keep the arm straight throughout the practice without bending your elbows.Make large circular movements taking the hands over your toes in forward swing while exhaling and inhale when you come backwards. Lean back as much as you can without bending the knees or lifting the legs. Your body is in a rotational movement from the waist. Practice 10 rounds clockwise and 10 rounds anti clock wise. After this, lie down on the mat and relax till your breathing becomes normal. # Caution: Do not practice if you are pregnant This asana should not be performed if you have low blood pressure, extreme lower back pain due to slip disc, or are having a headaches or migraine attack. People who have had had a recent abdominal surgery should avoid the asana. Also not a good asana for people suffering from active hernia. # Benefits: A good asana for mitigating sciatica. It tones the back, abs and arm muscles. It helps to open up the chest and groin region. Its consistent practice helps reduce abdominal fat. It is also very useful in reducing post-delivery fat.
