This video really isn't about getting Green Day's exact same guitar tone from records like "Dookie", "American Idiot" or "21st Century Breakdown", but rather the way in which he uses various guitar tracking methods to achieve this dense and layered sound. This guitar technique was used prominently during the "American Idiot" & "21st Century Breakdown" years, and even on their more recent releases like "Revolution Radio" - we'll just forget about "Father Of All..." though.
