Operación Camaleón 2013 Prácticamente desarticulado quedó Sendero Luminoso (SL) en el Valle de los Ríos Apurímac, Ene y Mantaro (VRAEM). Alejandro Borda Casafranda, 'Alipio', y Martín Quispe Palomino, 'Gabriel' --dos de los cuatro cabecillas del grupo narcoterrorista--, fueron abatidos el 11/08/13 domingo, a las 10:30 de la noche, en Pampas-Llochegua, Huanta (Ayacucho). En la 'Operación Camaleón', la 'Brigada Lobo', integrada por las fuerzas combinadas de la Dircote, la Dirandro y la Fuerza Especial del Comando Conjunto del VRAEM (CVRAEM), habría fallecido también 'Alfonso', guardaespaldas de 'Alipio' Terrorista.
