Konkan Railway, 11098/Poorna Express from Ernakulam to Pune via Dudhsagar, Belagavi crossing Sharavathi river near Honnavara. Train was hauled by WDP4D diesel locomotive from KJM DLS. The most popular and longest bridge in Konkan Railway, Sharavati River Railway Bridge, is a treat to many photographers and videographers especially during monsoon. The bridge is located near Honnavara, Karnataka and has length of 2,060 metres (2.06kms), is one among the longest bridges in india. Watching trains crossing this beautiful bridge is a pure bliss. This bridgewas awarded SECOND prize in the competition for Most Outstanding Bridge National Awards 1995 - Category I by Indian Institute of Bridge Engineers in the year 1995.
