DN Radio Podcast's video: UASIN GISHU COUNTY ASSEMBLY APPROVES ALL GOVERNOR JACKSON MANDAGO CECs

Uasin Gishu county assembly wants governor Jackson Mandago to nominate youths and People with disability for Chief officer position after they missed out in his CECs nominees. The assembly also approved all the ten nominees for CEC affter the selection commitee recommeded them . Hon. Josphat lowoi Leader of Majority moved the motion to approve the ten CEC nominees . This was after the ten nominees appeared before the Assembly vetting committee chaired by the speaker of the house Hon. David Kiplagat. Hon. Lowoi urged the house to approve the report as the nominees proved overall suitability, integrity and self drive which made them fit for the applied jobs. He assured that appointment was based on the nominees’ competence and not on allegations. “I urge you to approve the report and approve the nominees to make sure their responsibilities are well exercised. This will ensure they work smoothly with their CEOs and the common mwananchi will have the value of money” said Hon. Josphat lowoi while moving the motion. House speaker David Kiplagat presided on the motion to adopt the CECs . The ten nominees who were approved were: Eng Gideon Birir the CEC for roads, transport ,energy and public works, Joseph K Kurgat CEC for education, culture, youth affairs, sports and social services, Julius Ruto the CEC for finance and economic planning, Samuel Kipchichir the CEC for agriculture, livestock and fisheries, Esther C Mutai CEC for cooperatives and enterprise development, Barnabas K Tarus CEC for devolution, administration and public service management, Emily Jeptanui CEC for information and communication technology, trade and industrialization, Eng Nelson K Maritim the CEC for land, housing, physical planning and urban development, Mary Wanjiku Njogu the CEC for water, environment, natural resources, tourism and wildlife management and Everlyne Chepkemoi Rotich CEC for health services. All honorable members congratulated the vetting committee having done the brilliant job . The house agreed to give the nominees maximum support as their main agenda is to work for the Uasin Gishu county residents
