The Avengers original team consisted of Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Ant-Man, and Wasp, and they quickly became one of Marvel’s most popular franchises. The Avengers have since expanded to include a rotating roster of heroes, including Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, and Vision, among others. The team has faced many threats over the years, from powerful villains like Thanos to world-ending events like the Infinity Gauntlet and Secret Wars. Battleworld is a fictional planet created by writer Jonathan Hickman and artist Esad Ribic for the Marvel Comics event series Secret Wars in 2015. Battleworld was created by the god-like entity known as the Beyonder, who combined various alternate realities and timelines to create a single planet where they could all coexist. Battleworld features many different regions, each based on a different Marvel storyline or universe, and is inhabited by various heroes and villains from throughout Marvel’s history. Secret Wars is a comic book event series that was published by Marvel Comics in 2015. The series was written by Jonathan Hickman and illustrated by Esad Ribic and was a culmination of several years’ worth of storylines in various Marvel titles. The series sees the Marvel Universe being destroyed and replaced with Battleworld, a new planet created by the god-like entity known as the Beyonder.
