Batman is a superhero created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger, first appearing in Detective Comics in 1939. As Bruce Wayne, he is a billionaire playboy and philanthropist, but as Batman, he is a fearsome crimefighter who uses his intelligence, physical prowess, and advanced technology to combat evil in Gotham City. Batman is known for his iconic costume, which includes a cowl with bat-like ears, a cape, and a symbol of a bat on his chest. Clayface is a supervillain who has the ability to shapeshift and manipulate his body, making him nearly invulnerable. There have been several different versions of Clayface over the years, but the original character, Basil Karlo, was a B-movie actor who became a criminal after being exposed to an experimental clay that granted him his powers. Clayface has been a recurring enemy of Batman since his debut in Detective Comics in 1940. Professor Pyg is a relatively new addition to Batman's rogues gallery, created by writer Grant Morrison and artist Andy Kubert in 2007. The character is a deranged scientist and artist who wears a pig mask and operates on his victims to turn them into "Dollotrons" – mindless, obedient beings. Professor Pyg has become known for his disturbing and grotesque appearance and behavior, and has appeared in several Batman comics and video games.
