Please take a moment to listen to and watch the five minute informative video I made especially for everyone (Y❤️U) regarding what Healing Paws Animal Therapy - Super Dog Max does working with our American troops that come back from serving our country and are now at the VA hospital most of them permanently injured, elderly people that are in nursing homes trying to enjoy the last days of their lives, special needs children that need help in school that are trying to fullfill their dreams and be successful in life, nurses, doctors, teachers, parents (the list goes on) that need cheering up during a very stressful day, and so many other people that are in dire straits and are in desperate need to relax, smile if but for a moment with whatever they’re going through. Let’s get something very clear & direct 40% of the people we work with are dying! Our goal is to do anything and everything possible to make them feel at ease and add one last smile/laugh to their days. To leave this earth in a good mood❤️😊💕 For those of you that think we are purchasing another toy poodle along with another standard poodle to please me, YOU are dead wrong. Purchasing another two dogs is going to be a lot of work, a ridiculous amount of stress, a years worth of training, thousands of dollars, insurance.....😳 For those of you that have owned dogs or animal; lots of damage inside and outside the house. Hours per day of training while still working with Max and Ruby. As it is right now, five days a week I am at 15 different elementary school working with special needs students. Saturday I am at the VA hospital visiting our heroes, Sunday is for training other volunteers and their dogs who wish to become an animal therapy team. All services all time is 100% FREE. I do this solely to “pay it forward” and because I see the happiness my dogs bring to other people and to me it’s well worth all the money I am spending. I am getting these additional dogs because when I was in the hospitals, nursing homes, schools, VA hospital I was able to pick up the toy poodle (Penny) and put her in the beds with our veteran heroes, elderly patients in the lapse of special needs students, teachers, parents and everyone felt relieved and happy to be able to hold a dog and it was the highlight of their day and made it a whole lot better❣️ I saw grown men, grown women that served our country valiantly break down in tears of joy and it overwhelmed my heart. Please everyone, really put some thought into this..... did you also know that a dog can relieve stress from a doctor, from a nurse, from a CNA, from a caregiver, to a staff member feeding elderly people food in the dining room, to the director of a nursing home, to VA doctors and these people make life changing decisions for OUR patients. Wouldn’t you like these professionals to be in a good mood when they make that decision?? I have seen so many of the same people in the worst of moods and have feared what they would’ve decided on a patients future had they not been cheered up by something as simple as a dog in their arms. This and this is the only reason we are purchasing another toy poodle and eventually another standard poodle. I have seen firsthand where professionals have made life altering “positive” decisions for other people just because they were in a better mood. I have seen patients, elderly, veterans in the hospital, children where these dogs have made life altering “positive” changes for these heroes. In my mind they are all heroes and they all need help. So in closing, do I want another toy poodle or standard poodle besides Max and Ruby, a resounding NO. I am doing getting these additional dogs ONLY because I saw the reaction in all our patients that we visit and it was priceless and very meaningful to me and that is what Healing Healing Paws Animal Therapy is about.
