@Goats Head Butting is Natural

Goats naturally butt heads to determine dominance and pecking order, which allows the fittest to survive, since the strongest get to eat first, breed first, etc. In a domestic herd it also keeps order among the goats. (Everyone can't be the boss!) In this video, my female "boss goat" has just been returned to the herd, after having had babies. The others want their turn to be boss and gang up on her but eventually she regains her position as the boss, and they all settle down and get back to their routine. As in nature, same species animals will fight, but rarely "to the death". With the exception, of course, of humans.
