Envisioned and Produced by Wetlands International South Asia (WISA), Celebrating 25 Years of its Existence, the film sheds light Jan-Bhagidari Movement launched by the organisation. Directed by Dev Meher, Presented by Auromira Entertainment Pvt Ltd., this extraordinary song is a heartfelt tribute to the wetlands and their ecological significance. Sung with incredible passion and emotion by Susmita Das, the song serves as a melodic reminder of the urgent need to protect and preserve these unique ecosystems. Concept Note ‘Hum Nahin toh Tum Kahan’ The Magical World of Wetlands A Scientist, on the verge of retirement, receives an unexpected visitor. It is the one person he had desired to invite to the wetlands for the longest time. The famous author relents finally 20 years of persuasion. The deal is that the Author will be leaving by the next morning. The scientist leaves him at the guest house after making arrangements and promises to be back next morning to pick him up. At night, the Author hears a dreamy call from inside the forest. As he ventures into it with a lamp and a boat, he is intrigued to see a shape dancing in the middle of the water. The shape is a woman wearing a white flowing dress which looks diaphanous as if made up of water. He follows her deeper into the forest. The sun rises and he finds himself in the middle of a stunning paradise flocked by beautiful birds. The golden reflection of the sun, the vibrant feathers of birds, and the swaying breeze seem surreal. When the Scientist comes the next morning, she sees a slip ‘I am Staying’. A smile comes over her lips. The Author has already left into the forest with the boat. In his head, he is full of questions about the world of wetlands. The next evening, he can hear the singing more clearly. He follows the shape as she sings poetically which makes the wetland different. The shape represents the soul of the wetlands. The lyrics tell how she has the sea and the river in her. She tells about the small life and the large life that flourish within her. She describes the phenomenon of nature that makes her special. The Author can see how She represents the infinite creativity of nature. She also describes her vulnerability to human greed and how the end of the beautiful ecosystem will take away with it all the wonders of nature that she enfolds within her. This is intercut with the Author trying to read more about wetlands and share with the world.
