comparing the works of English poets and Nalapat , during his lifetime , we find that he was far ahead of his times in style as well as in ideas. He had a life vision of integrated arts and science and was a very mature person when compared to many of his contemporaries. It was in 1929 the Testament of Beauty was published in Britain. Using the style of the conversation, using the words of vocal language, the poet expressed scientific notions. Nalapat had done this in 1924 itself, in his Kannuneerthulli. W B Yeats said that poets should express thier thoughts in the same way as they thought, in poetry. It should be like speaking to a friend, Our life gives strength to our words. In 1928 (The tower) in 1929Winding stairs) he did this. Kannuneerthulli came before these books (1924) Pulakankuram in 1928. Yeats was considered the greatest poet after the Victorian era by English Literarture. Malayalam Literature was reluctant to place Nalapat at that pedestal. Except Sanjayan , no one understood that with just one poetry book, Nalapat had won the greatest and the best place among all other Malayalam poets.
