Specifically, this is the "Over Under Travel Shaft" from Anderson and is compatible with the Minelab Excalibur II metal detector. The shaft is made of carbon fiber, which is light weight yet extremely strong. Also included in this tutorial is the addition of the 24" Lower Rod assembly, also made of carbon fiber, which attaches to the coil of the metal detector.
