Trying to figure out the best way to pack your metal detector so that it doesn't become damaged in the process of the trip is of the utmost importance. Also, it is very beneficial to have equipment that breaks down in size that is travel friendly so that it will fit inside your luggage and that leaves you with as few bags to check with the airline as possible. That will also help minimize the chances of your metal detecting equipment being damaged during the trip.
