This is my short documentary version and submission for the Matti Haapoja Contest and how I've been dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic as I use my hobby of Metal Detecting to still be able to go outside, enjoy some fresh air, and hopefully find a little treasure while I'm at it all while staying safe with social distancing. The short answer is yes, but you should use caution and follow all recommended guidelines when it comes to social distancing. Do not travel far from home and be sure to wash your hands once you get back home. Because metal detecting is a recreational activity that can be used as a form of exercise, it falls within the exemption guideline list and is allowed provided you follow the other listed regulations.
