Sydney's video: Sydney Top Shots with photographer Daniel Boud

@Sydney Top Shots with photographer Daniel Boud
Ever wondered where to go in Sydney to get yourself a guaranteed money shot? Or what it takes to get invited to photograph atop of the iconic Sydney Opera House sails? Director Mitch Noakes speaks with photographer Daniel Boud, who reveals the answers to those questions and more! Known for his sophisticated, emotive use of lighting and striking portraiture, Daniel Boud is one of Sydney’s most talented photographers. He has been a finalist in the National Photographic Portrait Prize, the Moran Portrait Prize and the Head On Portrait Prize. Daniel’s extensive portfolio of local and international talent includes musicians, actors, dancers, drag queens, athletes, chefs, artists and more. It spans everyone from Flume to Cate Blanchett. One of Daniel’s most famous images is of two first nation dancers high atop one of Sydney’s icons - the Sydney Opera House. The powerful messaging and cultural significance of the image to celebrate Dance Rites is remarkable - two Indigenous women above the city on the spectacular sails of the Sydney Opera House. Another version is of the dancers proudly waving the Aboriginal flag. -- Mitch Noakes is a photographer and director whose work has taken him from the familiar areas of NSW to international locations such as Iceland and Israel. As a photographer, he has experienced many landscapes and subjects, with a key focus on capturing people within their natural environment. Mitch’s focus is always to tell a story, and through this series, he aims to provide a platform for the best photographers in Sydney to show their work with the added aim of empowering others to get the best out of their photography, be it as a hobbyist or professional. -- Sydney is one of the world’s most loved cities and it has a lively and vibrant buzz whilst being nestled around the natural beauty of its harbour and beaches. There are always plenty of things to do in Sydney from sightseeing and world-class dining to fashionable boutiques and shopping districts as well as great walks and fun in the sand at one of Sydney's idyllic harbour or coastal beaches. http://www.sydney.com/ Connect with Sydney and Join the Conversation Facebook - facebook.com/sydney Twitter - twitter.com/sydney_sider Instagram - @sydney Subscribe to the Escapes Newsletter http://www.sydney.com/escapes-newsletter
