Video Yayın Hakkı: Global and Planetary Change Bundan birkaç yüz milyon yıl önce yeryüzü günümüzdeki gibi değildi. Yeryüzünde Pangea olarak isimlendirilen tek bir süperkıta bulunuyordu. Çünkü hareket hâlinde olan kara parçaları zaman zaman bir araya gelerek devasa süperkıtalar oluşturabiliyor. Süperkıtaların sonuncusu olan Pangea günümüzden yaklaşık 300 milyon yıl önce oluşmuş ve 175 milyon yıl önce parçalanmaya başlamıştı. Yer bilimciler 200-300 milyon yıl sonra yeni bir süperkıta oluşabileceğini tahmin ediyor. Peki gelecekteki süperkıtanın şekli nasıl olabilir? Bununla ilgili dört farklı senaryo var.
