A three turn point, 57 km task was set, taking the pilots back to Baixo Guandu and then on a tour of the local countryside. Right up until the end, this task seemed as if it was mission impossible. However, European Champion Theo Warden calmly caught up the leaders, overtook them, most of whom were on the ground by then, and was the first to race across ESS. Five others also made goal. Today turned into ladies’ day as Paragliding World Cup history was set by the last pilot to take off this morning, Petra SLIVOVA, who caught up with the leaders and flew with them all the way round. She scooped up 100% of the lead out points and flew away with her first World Cup task win, making today the first time a lady has won a task. And just to prove the point, Wooyoung Jang took second place. Well done to both, let's hope there will be many more.
