Despite an overcast sky an 81 km task was set south, then north, then zig zagging back to goal in Baixo Guandu. With nothing to lose the winner of the last World Cup here, Marco Littame, pushed out from half way round and won the task very convincingly, by three and a half minutes. It was a nail biting finish as Stephane Poulain, (in 2nd place this morning) got stuck on the way to ESS with a head wind. Torsten Sigel (4th), Michael Kuffer (1st) and a big gaggle passed overhead and got to ESS first. Michael discarded most of today and lead out points separated Stephane and Torsten. Despite the headwind to goal and overcast conditions, an incredible 67 pilots made goal.
