However, as the day progressed, big patches of shade covered parts of the course line. It was difficult to get high, and lots of pilots got stuck at different points along the course line, making it a very challenging day with only 19 pilots in goal. Today’s race once again showed parity amongst the wings. The first two gliders across ESS were an Ozone Enzo 3 (flown by Stéphane Poulain) and a Gin Boomerang 11 (flown by Torsten Siegel). Stéphane, managed to pull away from the rest of the gaggle during the last leg of the race and won by a convincing 5 minutes and 37 seconds.
