Two decades ago, the people of Barangay Payatas, Quezon City, Philippines suffered in a devastating tragedy. Now two decades ahead, they may very well suffer again, albeit a different tragedy. With the rise of calls for climate action, Gold Gears' Guinevere Constantino, through the C40 Students Reinventing Cities competition, explains how dealing with the 2000 Payatas Tragedy can pave the way in addressing the climate crisis.
