As part of the Horizon 2 phase of the Revised AFP Modernization Program, Elbit Systems will provide the Army with armored mortar carriers, battlefield management systems, and remote-controlled weapon systems. According to the report, the Cardom, a 120mm Recoil Mortar System, will be mounted on the Army's M113 armored vehicles. The system has a range of 7,000 meters and a maximum fire rate of 16 rounds per minute. It can be used in "shoot and scoot" manner and can be operated by two or four crewmen.
