U.S. Marines, with the 3rd Littoral Combat Team, 3rd Marine Littoral Regiment, and 3rd Marine Division alongside Philippine Marines, conduct a live-fire range using M27 Infantry Automatic Rifles, M240B machine guns, and Mk 153 Shoulder-Launched Multipurpose Weapons, and M777 155mm Howitzers during Balikatan 23 in Santa Juliana, Philippines. During a training exercise, the United States Marines showed the Philippine Marines how to properly use the M777 155mm howitzer. This artillery is a towed howitzer capable of firing powerful explosive shells over long distances. It is considered one of the most advanced artillery systems in the world.
